Registration for

2010-2011

 

Applications for Admission for new students are now being accepted for enrollment into First Methodist School, Inc. (FMS), for the school year 2010-2011.  Classes offered and times are:  2 year old Nursery School (full-time & part-time), Pre-school 3’s & 4’s from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon; Kindergarten through 8th grades from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. 


First Methodist School accepts the Florida Step Up Students scholarship for Kindergarten – 8th Grades (www.stepupforstudents.org) and Arbor for Preschool/Daycare.

 

First Methodist School, celebrating thirty-seven years of service to Bartow and surrounding communities, offers a non-denominational curriculum, consistent with the educational requirements of the State of Florida.  The purpose of the school is to provide academic excellence in a caring environment, focusing on character building, traditional Christian and family values, and love and respect for the community.  The faculty and staff are dedicated to helping each child build a solid foundation in academic skills, individual talents, and strengths.

 

Extracurricular classes of Art, Computers, Drama, Music, Physical Education and Spanish are offered in addition to the regular academic instruction.  First Methodist School offers before and after school care for those enrolled in the school, and provides child care during holiday breaks and a complete summer program. 

 

Those desiring further information about the school may contact the school office, at 533-0905, on school days from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.  Application forms may be picked up from the school office located at 455 South Broadway Avenue, in Bartow.  Tours are available by appointment.
